How will James Quincey, Chairman of The Coca-Cola Company, respond to the following question at the Virtual Shareowner's Annual Meeting to be held on Tuesday, April 26, 2022?
The Question: "Chairman Quincey, the Mexican Government is currently investigating public officials over serious claims of corruption for committing considerable irregularities favoring The Coca-Cola Company. The ongoing criminal investigations focus on Coca-Cola's alleged fraud, valued at $345 million USD, committed against entrepreneur Jose Antonio del Valle Torres. Coca-Cola has been accused of stealing Mr. del Valle's Go Gaba's beverage business trade secrets.
As Mr. del Valle's fight for justice escalates, he is now experiencing an increasing number of threats and disturbing events that have endangered his life.
Losing this case could eventually cost Coca-Cola billions of dollars in judgments, reputational loss and brand value. Is this why the Company is blatantly endorsing a position of contempt with Mexican authorities given that high ranking executives are ignoring subpoenas? Such is the case of Selman Careaga Castro, the President of the Global Coca-Cola Category who was promoted from the crime scene in Mexico to your most Senior Leadership Team. Furthermore, can you clarify to the shareholders what happened with Galya Frayman Molinas, the former Global President of Strategy and Insights and Coca-Cola ICECEK's Director, who disappeared in the middle of two subpoenas regarding the Go Gaba fraud case in 2020?"
